Struan Duthie
MEd. (Counselling). BA. LTh. Dip Ed. MNZAC
Struan has 25 years of experience as a counsellor, and has worked with a wide
variety of people and their needs. He feels counselling should be an enjoyable
experience even in bad times, when stress and depression can often make the
going really hard. He believes in radical forgiveness for our mistakes; laughter
as a sign of growth; and a close, confidential and relaxed relationship with a
counsellor to be essential for change. Above all, Struan values kindness as the
most helpful ingredient in counselling. When people have been kind to him , he
has moved forward in his own life, and he tries to practise a similar kindness
with those he helps
